Guide
Temperature and humidity sensors are used for environmental monitoring across workplaces, data centres, and storage facilities. If readings appear inaccurate or are not being reported, several environmental and technical factors may be responsible.
Start by checking the power supply. Battery-powered sensors may stop transmitting data when battery levels are low. Replace the batteries if necessary.
Next, confirm that the sensor is correctly connected to the Sensor Hub or monitoring platform. If the device is not listed in the platform dashboard, it may need to be re-paired.
Placement of the sensor is also important. Sensors installed near heating vents, air conditioning units, or direct sunlight may produce inaccurate readings. Reposition the sensor to a neutral location for more reliable data collection.
If inaccurate readings continue, recalibrating the sensor according to the manufacturer’s instructions may resolve the issue.
Persistent inaccuracies may indicate a hardware fault and should be reported to support.
