Using Workflow Rules for Process Automation

Automate routine processes with powerful workflow rules:

  1. Go to Settings > Automation > Workflow Rules
  2. Click "New Rule"
  3. Select the object type this rule applies to
  4. Define trigger conditions and criteria
  5. Configure actions:
    • Field updates
    • Email alerts
    • Task creation
    • Record creation/updates
  6. Set execution order if multiple rules apply
  7. Activate the rule

Example: Automatically escalate support tickets that remain unresolved for 24 hours and notify the support manager.
