Using Workflow Rules for Process Automation
Automate routine processes with powerful workflow rules:
- Go to Settings > Automation > Workflow Rules
- Click "New Rule"
- Select the object type this rule applies to
- Define trigger conditions and criteria
- Configure actions:
- Field updates
- Email alerts
- Task creation
- Record creation/updates
- Set execution order if multiple rules apply
- Activate the rule
Example: Automatically escalate support tickets that remain unresolved for 24 hours and notify the support manager.
